Fire Alarm Systems

A Nicet Level 4 certification, held by our owner, qualifies BBC to install, inspect, test, and maintain any size system. We can also provide technical estimates and design plans for your alarm systems. BBC’s team is proficient in AutoCAD and with our color plotter we can produce professional fire alarm drawings as required by code.

BBC can completely install all the conduit, wiring and equipment for large or small installations. Our electricians install EMT or rigid conduit in standard or explosion proof areas or run wiring in open plenum and on-plenum ceiling areas.

BBC has been a dealer for Notifier fire alarm equipment since 2000 and panels range in size from 25 points to 3030 points.

For military applications, BBC has installed Monaco wireless equipment and has installed systems at Redstone Arsenal, Keesler, Little Rock, Tyndall and Columbus Air Force Bases.

BBC is factory trained to service and install both Spectronics and Notifier equipment in industrial sites.

Please call us for industrial pricing or to place a bid for military application servicing.

Safety Questions

We install conventional, addressable, and hybrid fire alarm systems from 25-point panels up through large-scale 3030-point systems.

We are factory trained and have experience with Notifier, Spectronics, and many other major fire alarm brands.

Yes — we have NICET-certified staff who can produce professional CAD drawings and design plans in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Installation time depends on the size and complexity of the project. A small system might take a day or two; larger, multi-building systems can take weeks.

Yes — our electricians can complete all conduit (EMT, rigid) installation, wiring in plenum or open-ceiling areas, and equipment mounting.

Routine inspections, functional tests, sensitivity checks (for smoke detectors), battery tests, and repairs or replacement of faulty devices as needed.

It depends on your jurisdiction and applicable code (e.g. NFPA 72). Typically, monthly visual inspections, semiannual functional tests, and annual full inspections are required.

Environmental Questions

Yes — we offer monitoring services that allow alerts to be sent to a central station or monitoring facility.

A “trouble” indicates system fault (e.g. wiring issue, power loss). A “supervisory” signal often points to conditions requiring attention (e.g. valve open in sprinkler system integration).

An intermittent beep often indicates a low battery or device fault. Call for service immediately; do not disable the alarm.

Yes — our owner holds NICET Level 4 certification, and our staff is qualified to install, inspect, test, and maintain systems of any size.

Yes — we furnish as-built drawings, test data, inspection logs, and other documentation needed for code compliance.

Absolutely. We can interface your fire alarm system with other building systems to coordinate actions (e.g. door unlock, shut down HVAC, sprinkler monitoring).

Warranties vary by manufacturer; generally, panels carry 5 to 10 years and detectors or modules often 1 to 3 years. We can manage warranty claims for you.

When reliability declines, replacement parts become unavailable, or the system no longer meets code or your evolving needs.
